When adding a link to posts without adding HTTP/HTTPS, the default addition to the link is http, and I believe that it should already be https, as it's rare to find sites without SSL these days

FBP has an Auto Messenger feature. Not sure, but I think you can just gather all the IDs from the group then message them w/o actually adding them.
