While you're new to the forum, you'll find that we often tell you to read around and add your questions to existing threads wherever they are relevant. But how do you find the right sub-forums and threads? Of course, you can browse the forums list but if there is something specific you're looking for, the search bar is your friend. So how do you use the MMO search to get the most out of it? Allow me to show you. When you click the word 'Search' in the top right hand menu, a box of options will appear. This is what it looks like if you're on the home page: You have the option to search for subjects or people and you can specify if you want to search titles only. It looks slightly different if you're already in a sub-forum: You'll see that a drop-down menu titled 'Everywhere' has appeared in the search bar. By clicking on this, you can specify if you only want to search Everywhere, Threads, or This Forum. Both versions of the search box include the Search and Advanced Search buttons. As you might expect, if you click Search it will take you to the results that match your search term and any criteria you have set. Clicking the Advanced Search will give you many more options across the top: From here you can search everything, threads, profile posts, or tags. Each tab has a range of options and allows you to be much more specific about what you are searching for. And that's it! So go forth and hunt for the answers to all of your IM and SEO questions. If you find that your question hasn't been answered anywhere on the forum yet, feel free to create a new thread.
