Despite my status here as an administrator, I have bought products and services from MMO. As a result, I do understand the pain of through thousands of words worth of generic testimonials, annoying comics, and completely unnecessary fluff talking about how I need them or my business will sink into the ocean.

However, my years of experience as a marketplace moderator has taught me how to quickly get through all of that fluff and get to the real meat of their sales thread (calm down, I wasn't cutting corners, there's just some stuff that's better to check first). Today, I want to help you do the same.

So start off, for sales threads without sales graphics, this is really simple: all you want to do is use CTRL+F (or CMD+F) and search for the following:

  • $ - To find their pricing.
  • Refund - To find a refund policy
  • Money - To find money-back guarantees (AKA, another term for refund).
  • Contact - To find off-forum contact details.
  • Discord - To find off-forum contact details.
  • Skype - To find off-forum contact details.
There are service-specific search terms, but I'm going to save that for another thread as this one is meant to be for general use.

Now, for sales graphics, this is a somewhat more complicated matter, but not one without a solution. You see, there's a nifty type of tool you can use called optical character recognition software. As you can guess, this software scans the image and outputs the characters into a text document. In other words, you can use the same method above to search for specific points in the sales copy.

That's why I am never using fancy graphics and names like Super Marvel Hulk Go Wild SEO Duper Links from Spiderman web.

Big screen graphics:
-not indexing even with powerful MMO site SEO
-not loading correct on mobile devices

I think the services on MMO should be unified like:

Service Name:
Service Description:
What you get:
Contact:
Payment:
Terms & Refund Policy:

... but nobody listened to me. 1 or 2 years ago I made such proposition in Forum Suggestions

I'm looking forward to marketplace 2.0! It will really help us newbies find some quality people to review. No one has reviewed me yet despite making some purchases!

This post was 6 months ago - still no action? I stumbled across this thread because I was searching for a tabulated list of offerings instead of having to read though page after page of those stupid f*ing images.

This is a large forum. With thousands of active threads and support tickets daily.

Things will be done in due time.

MP 2.0 is moving along at a nice place as to development and there are a lot of elements involved as well as a full team on it.

The thing you do not like, it seems, is that it is taking a long time.

The thing you do want to know is that every time an element comes up to add in, it takes a lot of testing to make sure it works and, on top of that, we see another element to offer based on that one to make the members experience the best we can offer and those elements take the same effort so good begats better and better begats best.

We are aiming for the best.

you`re right. even though pictures can say more than a thousand words, they are often superfluous in the marketplace. sellers should limit themselves to the most important key data. before i registered here, i wasted countless hours checking offers.
