When doing a 301 redirect to my moneysite should I index the 301 link?

I am wondering if I should send a 301 redirect from an aged domain to an indexer service after pointing it to my moneysite? Or will the search engines automatically pick up on this change?

Build some quality backlinks for it. If you are 301 redirecting then you probably want link juice so let it index organically and build tiered links instead.
