What is the Copyright procedure of a software written in JAVA ?

Hi guys.
I've completed a software in JAVA which is able to crack the password of a protected PDF file using Brute Force and Dictionary attack.
Now I want to launch that software on internet for general public with its official website. It'll be a freeware.
However, I'm totally unaware with the Licencing and Copyright procedure involved while launching a software.
Need guidance regarding the procedure and $$$ charges involved in it.
