Is owning your own subreddits the new cheat code?

I think everyone here has noticed what the filters have turned into these last months. Karma gates, account age gates, half the decent subs auto-removing anything that even smells like a brand mention. Aging accounts and dripping comments for weeks just to slip one link through is starting to look like terrible ROI.

So I keep landing on the same idea: just own the subs.

If you're the mod, the filter is yours. And this is the part I actually want opinions on,,, even when a comment does get caught by Reddit's own filter, you can go into the queue as mod and manually approve it. It goes live anyway. On paper the filter barely matters once you're the one holding the queue.

Question is whether that's actually safe:

• Does manually approving filtered promo comments put a flag on your mod account with the admins?
• Has anyone here actually been suspended for it? Or the sub nuked?
• Or is it still a blind spot nobody really enforces?
