I've been seeing this come up more often lately on my Twitter PFP especially with all major crypto platforms starting to get involved in stocks.
One thing that's always seemed a bit inconvenient about traditional brokers is having to work around market hours. Crypto is available around the clock, so the difference is pretty noticeable.
Case study could be Bitget's rToken feature i came across. It lets users transfer eligible US stock holdings into its ecosystem, and some supported assets have extended trading hours.
Sounds interesting in theory, but I'm still wondering how it works in practice. What happens with settlement, ownership, and all the usual stuff you'd expect from a traditional broker?
Is this actually a useful development, or are traditional brokers still the better or prolly safest option? Would be good to hear from anyone who's a stock nerd
