Hello MMO Community,

I'm looking for advice from specialists regarding website development.

While I won't be developing the website myself, I need to understand the key aspects to consider when hiring a web developer. I plan to launch a website in the luxury branded fashion niche, and I want it to look and function similarly to Farfetch, Cettire, End-Clothing, etc.

Could you please share your opinions on whether it's better to develop the site with

'Classic' Coding or WordPress?

The goal is to achieve a highly professional and polished website.

Thank you!

It is really a matter of budget, if you got cash to spend go for a custom coded site, if not go for a WordPress site built by a real Pro.

My guess is that you won´t get a custom coding site worth the name under $4000 and a Pro WordPress site around $1500 and up depending on developer.

My opinion: Get a next.js based site and some polishing cloth for extra shine. :)

Seriously though, some of the biggest platforms like coinmarketcap, tiktok and openai use next.js. That says something…

wordpress isn’t gonna cut it. It will work fine for 4 users per day, but scaling a wp site up is not easy.
