Delphi EX6 Alternatives?

Hey guys,

Im looking for good alternatives for Delphi EX6
im looking to develop a desktop software
that will also work on mac so im looking for develop software
that works on both win/mac. Delphi is the closest to Visual Basic i could find.

Well Java/C/C++/Ptyhon to name a few. If you insist on .NET, then you need to use MonoDevelop for cross-platform compatibility.
