You give someone a fishing rod and they pay you to show them how to use it.

People can create things with AI if they know how. Or they can pay people so people either do the job for them (using AI) or they give a tutorial on how to use it.

So how long before what we do now as a service is gone, and pretty much everybody does it themselves? 10 years?

AI tools are like fishing rods, people can use them "if they know how", but many still prefer paying for services.

It’ll likely take 5 - 10 years (questionable) for more people to learn how to handle AI independently, but skilled services will still be valuable for strategy, creativity, and advanced work.

So, it’s more of an evolution than a total replacement.

There are many things AI will never do better than humans, and vice versa.
