I have a TLD (.net) that is a massively famous country music star's name (the one and only) which has been registered for 20+ years. How would I go about figuring out a base price for it and successfully sell it? I am definitely interested in using a broker if need be. Is it common practice to just contact their label directly? Any and all advice is much appreciated.

Don't contact his brand - you can be accused of domain squatting
I would say that you should sell it to another individual no-related to the singer

You could try selling it there are a couple places where you can sell domains at online. Afternic, Sedo, Flippa, GoDaddy, etc. Other than that, you can try unprivatizing your information on whois, and maybe someone will reach out to you about it, and you can change what is displayed on the website. If it is a good enough domain, maybe you can try to think up a way to make money with it rather than selling it. Hope this helps!

he doesn't need to let his information public
it's better to just use the domain to put a random email (created on protonmail for example) in a blank screen to let people contact him

You've registered a domain 20+ years ago. You are in complete ownership.

Brand and anybody can .... you know what.

But obviously you won't be able to sell the domain most likely.

Who need that domain? Not even the one and only wants it, lol.

interesting is that the business that "needs" that domain hasn't reached you, that happened tp me a couple of years ago, no a famous brand just a business that was interested to branding their business in a certain way, and by strike of luck I have the domain registered, at the end I keep the domain and they adjust the name for something available at the moment
