Hey MMO! This is my first post and my journey into this, and I’m kind of new to it all, so I decided to dive in. I’ve been quietly reading through some discussions here about building websites that generate passive income, and I figured it was time to give it a shot myself and learn along the way (more like, "fck it, let's do it!").
I used MTDb by Vebto, which can be set up as a fully automated site using the TMDB API as the source. I bought a domain and hosting, then deployed it 2 or 3 weeks ago. In those 2 weeks, I made some backend changes to suit my needs, like auto embed (VidSrc) and cron schedules to fully automate channel updates.
Here's what I’ve done so far:
- Imported movie/series titles
- Added the site to Google Search Console
- Got the site approved by AdSense, but I recently deleted it just in case of bans (Do you think I can re-add it?)
- Introduced ads: banners from Adsterra and pop/push notifications from Ad-Maven (I had to create a workaround JS script with the help of ChapGpt to display Adsterra banners properly without modifying the main UI framework, and the pop ads are only available on watch pages)
- Revived an old FB/IG page to share movie clips and recently signed up for X (Twitter)
There aren’t many visitors yet, maybe less than 10 per day. I’m no expert in this marketing area, but based on some discussions here, I am looking into some SEO services to gain initial traffic (backlinks, guest posts, buying real traffic).
Any suggestions, recommendations, or input are greatly appreciated.
