SEO Getting Onto First Page Of Google

I know with SEO marketing there is alot of factors that go into this, such as getting backlinks from other sites, having a blog, ensuring your website is crawlable. I please kindly wondered what are the most important factors in getting your website onto the first page of Google for a few keywords please? I know SEO is naturally hard work and a slow process but i kindly wanted to know the process or work it takes to get to the first page of Google please. If anyone kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever grateful and thankful it would mean the world to me.

and basically you gotta start with ON-page SEO, by optimizing the speed and putting keywords, meta description and then you can start with the backlinks
