Sites claiming to make $2,000 a month being sold for about $3K. Why?

Whats the deal with these websites I see on Flippa that say they are making $2000 a month, but are selling for $2500 or so. I'm guessing it's because of the young age of the site, but why would someone want to unload a site that profitable for so cheap?
