What is your preferred domain high DR with less backlinks or low DR with huge backlinks?

I am trying to look for expired domains and checking them one by one I saw some expired domains with lots of backlinks but no Domain rating or less than 2 domain rating.
Some expired domains I found have high domain ratings above 10 but it only has a few backlinks.

So which one is better to buy? The price of both of them is the same as a brand-new domain.

i personally try to get a mix of both but in general few quality backlinks will do you wonders in ranking more than a million bad ones(in the long run)!

It isn't a case of domain quantity or blind stats from a 3rd party. It is the holistic view of the whole thing.

You want something with quality backlinks, it doesn't need to be hundreds but some very good links and a clean history. That should be the minimum, good stats are good if you are selling it on or selling links but for a website you want a solid backlink foundation and a clean history.
