Why I don't see anyone advertising on Reddit

I was browsing Reddit looking for where I could promote my site, this site is not in the NSFW niche. I visited different posts, read comments, and didn't see anyone who could leave links to their site or create posts referring to their site, why is that?

I also decided to visit other subreddits in other niches, and I didn't see anyone promoting their sites either. Why?

Some niches aren't too much about sharing links than just making conversations and sharing experiences within Reddit.

Reddit is a weird place where to marketing your business, you need to do it properly otherwise wont work. Also, as big difference from Meta social media like Instangram and Facebook, Reddit is very annoying in terms of posting links etc. So people prefer way more facebook and instangram as there are way less bots too
