I just got a local client that got wiped in Penguin and is going to start over with new domain.
This client does both wholesales and have local shop.
I suggested to split up the old site to two domains as it is much easier to rank a domain than a single page.
Old site is companyname.com
New wholesalesite will be CompanyNameCA.com and local shop will be CompalyNameLA.com
If I change the url of Google Map listing as CompanyName.com to CompalyNameLA.com will it drop in rankings?
The URL Listed at all business listings are companyname.com
Should I change these?
Thats going to be pain in the ass.
Maybe doing a 301 from an empty page on old domain to the new one and adding the empty page into Google Maps?
