Future of food delivery apps

Someone recommended to invest in stocks of a startup related to food delivery. The startup is not yet profitable. What do you think will be the future of these food delivery apps? Is ordering food at home from online going to become more common in future? Is it a good bet to invest in stocks of such a company?

Well the cost of these apps are quite high.
Eventually people will only order on them coming from far away.
I ordered some food yesterday and the cost was 50X more with swiggy Zomato then I decided to go myself & save 50-60% cost & bring home the food from nearby restaurants
