Is anyone still using expired Tumblr blogs to boost ranking?

High PA DA Expired Tumblr Blogs are still Effective for Ranking, tier 1 backlinks and building Tumblr PBNs?

As seen, Tumblr URL structure is changed. Like xyz.tumblr.com is redirecting to tumblr.com/xyz or tumblr.com/blog/xyz

then, are theses expired Tumblr URLs helping new URLs to pass the link juice if I register the expired blog?
