Hey guys,
Just curious how you guys normally check a domain before buying it.
I've been looking at some domains lately and usually I check the backlinks, traffic history, anchor text and Wayback Machine. But sometimes the numbers look good at first and after checking deeper, the domain doesn't seem that good anymore.
For example, would you rather buy a domain with good backlinks but almost no traffic, or a domain with decent traffic but weaker backlinks?
And how much do you guys care about the old content/history of the domain?
I'm still trying to figure out which metrics actually matter the most, so I'd be interested to hear how you guys usually do it.
