if you re-write the content to high uniqueness (over 80%) you should be fine. But if you're going to copy-paste most of their content (especially without giving them credit, and even that might not suffice) they can DMCA you

If you do paraphrasing, your content still closely matches the original content and yes it can lead to DMCA . Try to get some ideas with the help of AI and write own content for with relevant keywords for better results

Don't copy, and paste exactly from the others you decided you are going to use AI then use that more effectively like with good keyword density

Check the singular and plural of the keywords you use like these factors you consider while making the article and it will be a good

AI-generated content's copyright status varies by jurisdiction and human involvement. Content owners can file DMCA requests if AI content resembles their work. Legal protection for AI-generated content is complex and case-specific.

If it is your main site don't use AI and copy content directly on it. It will affect the reputation of your website for sure and they can file a DMCA. As advised by @Allene Jaskolski, you can rewrite it and make it unique. Instead, you can write original content with proper keyword optimization that makes the user more engaged.
