i remember first time i tried amazon affiliate. i had several niche blogs, all with amazon links.
my amazon dashboard showed sales for ton of irrelevant stuff. got few lucky strikes w/ people buying macbooks.
last i looked at it, once traffic grabs your amazon cookie, anything they buy within 24 hours is your commission.
