Hello MMO!
This is new for me, i was asked to "push down the SERP" some results. They are results that mention unpleasant things about a certain person (nothing major). They've been published by a couple of known online tabloids. They are true, nonetheless they would prefer that people don't see them.
I'm thinking creating content to outrank, PPC maybe. Have you come across a request like this? Do you have ideas on how to deal with it?
Cheers!

There are various ways to outrank/remove a particular link.

Some methods are:
Requesting the publisher to take down the article, publishing positive articles with better reputation and domain authority (DA) to outrank them, employing negative SEO tactics to push them down if they are smaller sites (note that this won't work with high DA sites). You can also request Google to remove the link for defamation reasons or use DMCA takedown notices.

Thank you Emmy Hintz for your suggestions. 1st and second suggestions sound good, I don't think the agency will engage in neg SEO activities. Going to also use Google reporting options for privacy. I'm also considering creating new citations and see what structured data can be implemented to try and make their brand results take up more px.
