Should you still be using Tumblr for branding in 2024?

With the slew of platforms, does Tumblr hold any relevance for brand building or blogging anymore? I have seen some interesting engagement on the platform — particularly for people in creative niches — but does it actually drive traffic and visibility? How you been finding it lately and using tumblr for expansion?

Tumblr has a 'certain type' of user, and are usually either Gen Z or Millennial. If what your pushing is in their niche or zone of interest, there can be traffic to be gained from the platform, but you're going to have to make it seem like you aren't marketing anything (the best type of marketing). For link building alone I don't think it's worth it, and I'm pretty sure last time I looked they were using buffering scripts for external links, so you aren't even getting the full benefits of a link.
