What do you look at besides search volume and keyword difficulty?

Hey guys,

I am learning keyword research and getting a little confused about how to judge if a keyword is actually worth targeting.

Apart from search volume and keyword difficulty, what do you guys usually check?

Do you mainly look at search intent and the SERP, or are there other things I should be looking at?

Would love to hear how you guys approach this!!
