What’s actually working for testing PPC ads in 2026?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been running small PPC campaigns over the past few months on Google Ads, mostly testing different ad variations to see what performs better.

Earlier, I used to rely on simple A/B testing, like changing headlines or descriptions, and it worked to some extent. But lately, it feels like results are less clear, and sometimes the platform seems to favor one version too quickly before I can really compare properly.

I’m not working with a big budget, so I try to be careful with how I run tests, but I’m not sure if I’m approaching it the right way anymore.

For those actively running campaigns in 2026:

  1. How are you structuring your tests now?
  2. Are you still doing basic split testing, or using a different approach altogether?
Would be helpful to hear what’s actually working right now
