Which is better? Old Instagram account off topic or build nee account

Hi, which do you think is better for engagement? I have a 4k old Instagram account that is not related to the niche I want to build. However, the followers are real. Do you think it's best to build upon that account ot start a fresh from scratch?

It depends on the new niche that you want to switch to. If it is a general niche like make money, health, fitness or dating, you can build on your existing 4k account. But if the niche is totally different, it is advisable for you to start a new account.

Start from scratch, using an account which is old and an audience from different niche is very similar to buying fake followers, as they wont engage anyways.
