Would this be a good business model?

As an avid software developer I?ve always loved creating software to automate tasks. Would creating a membership site with around 50 tools available be a good business model? If I charge members $49.99 a month for unlimited access to my tools would that be a good model? Of course I haven?t developed all 50 tools yet but it?s going to be a long journey that if successful would set me up to being my own boss.
I have a few questions I?d like to ask:

What tools would you like to see?
Is 50 tools too much or too little for a price of $49.99
Where Should I promote it apart from MMO ?
